The Guardians series was actually a lot of fun. Some good action, things were kept at least mildly realistic (no psychic powers, no mutants, no aliens), and the writing wasn't terrible.
The Survivalist is also fun, but I just didn't like the main character - too over-the-top (in this genre? Never!) and the series just starts getting...well...weird.
The Wingman series was an old favorite from back in the day. I collected almost all of them, and it was a lot of fun. For pure nostalgia value, this series wins the "fan favorite" stamp from me.
I've got a few other titles kicking around that I need to dig into before I can comment on them. Stay tuned...

My all time fav. is the "Endworld" series. Although I didnt care for it's spin-off "Blade'. "The Survivalist" series is a good one, as is "The Ashes" series by William Johnstone.
