So I just finished this book about half an hour ago. Pretty good read. Plenty of butt-kicking, lots of pretty good battle sequences, and someone gets stabbed to death with the muzzle of an UZI. The "love story" is a little cheesy, but hey, you need all that witty flirty chatter to kep it interesting.
So overall, pretty entertaining. This is the second of the "new" Bolans (read: something written since I was in High School), both by the same author (the other was Blood Trade, #291 I believe). Good short and sweet carnivals of carnage. Thumbs up, Doug.

Just bought my copy of Agent of Peril at a used bookstore today... looking forward to reading it, Doug. ;D B&N doesn't seem to carry the Executioner. I remember growing up in the '80s, Waldenbooks had a whole shelf devoted to Executioner books; this was within a year or so of the non-Pendleton "New War" series starting up (#39 forward). Guess they're not as popular anymore?

Doug, or anybody... I'm interested in checking out the Bolans by Michael Linaker; which are the best? Thanks.

Linaker? I like his Stony Man's - Command Force and Dragon Fire, as well as the excellent Zero Option (Mack Bolan meets Steve Austin... almost exactly using the concept of the last of MArtin Cadin's Cyborg novels).
